Istanbul Walls & Golden Horn (T-IST)
Drive along the City Walls to the Golden Horn. Your first stop will be the Byzantine City Walls built in the V century by the Byzantine Emperor Theodosius II. A special visit to the Castle of Seven Towers, a former prison during Byzantine and Ottoman Empire has been arranged before you go further to the Chora Museum with its breathtaking mosaics and frescoes. The next stop will be the Tekfur Palace, the last remaining Byzantine palace in Istanbul andthe Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. After a deserved lunch you will take it a bit easier by a visit to the most important mosque in town, the Eyup Mosque. Eyup is a very holy place in Istanbul and you can feel its peace while visiting. A cable car shall take you to the Pierre Loti Cafe where the french author Pierre Loti used to write some of his work. To round the tour up you will take a mini-cruise along the Golden Horn where you can see the unforgettable architecture of Istanbul.
